Evening sessions IN MALDON (Tuesday) & CHELMSFORD (Thursday)

Daytime choir sessions IN TIPTREE (Thursday) & DANBURY (Friday)

The Sound Collective is a vibrant modern adult choir from Essex . Members are under no pressure to perform and can simply enjoy weekly session but more is on offer if they want.

Thriving social clubs are also offered to members with a book club, walking group, wild swimming and organised outings such as a day at the races, cinema and theatre trips.

A unique aspect to this choir is that their concerts take the form of immersive events with the setting, their attire and many elaborate touches bringing a specific theme alive. A dedicated concept and design team made up of talented members of the choir are behind creating these incredible concerts - a fusion of storytelling, theatrical touches and surprises making The Sound Collective really stand out.

There are also many other opportunities to perform through the year to pick and choose from. Past performances have included local council events and fetes, TV appearances on SKY, BBC & ITV, festivals, theatre shows, featuring at the Tower of London and Excel centre and much much more.

Whether you want a friendly coffee morning singsong, to perform ad-hoc at community events or jump in with both feet and fully immerse yourself in concerts at incredible venues there is something for everyone.

Taught in an upbeat, fun and modern style with song parts sent to you and no need for sheet music.

TSC is a vibrant, inclusive, fun and welcoming choir.

— Let us stop you right there. Nearly every member of the choir said the same thing when they first got in touch so do not let this stop you!! It’s our job to get you sounding great and it’s a fact that ordinary people sound extraordinary together! Feel the fear and do it anyway!

“I’m nervous that I’ll come along and the choir is established and every one will know what they are doing except me”

— Nobody knows what they are doing all the time! This is an amateur non-auditioned choir with no judgement. We also pride ourselves on not being a cliquey choir with no politics. We WANT you to join us and it’s been said many times you’ll never find such a friendly lot. That’s because singing unites in a common goal and you’ll feel included from the off. Yes it’ll take a few weeks but before you know it you’ll feel very much part of TSC.

Recorded in Lockdown

Although forced apart by the pandemic, our choir fought to stay together and moved to online rehearsals where we spent 2020 learning songs that fitted the strange times in which we were living.

We then put all the individual voices together from recordings sent in by singers. Until the end result they hadn’t heard one another. When the final songs were played back and they heard themselves as a choir again you can imagine how emotional that was.
