SUB CLUBS & SOCIAL GROUPS
To hear about subclub events & activities you need to be a member of the relevant club WhatsApp group. Send EMMA a WhatsApp request to 07889 248620 to be added.
SUB-CLUBS are not run by any one person. Anyone can suggest a walk or swim and then organise the where and when. Our art & craft sessions are either run by a fellow singer or a one of the group might post a session to sign up and try and rally a group to come with them. In our book clubs a different member suggests the book each time and then they chair the next meetup to chat about it and in our games, quiz and heritage outings and tea clubs any member can put forward an idea and then organise it in a separate chat with just those attending. These subclass are a thriving wonderful addition to our choir community that take friendship and fun beyond singing and makes us the stand out SOCIAL MOVEMENT we are often referred as!
DANBURY BOOK CLUB: Our book club meets monthly. One member puts forward a book for the group to read and then the following month it’s discussed. A vibrant club resulting in lively discussion.
WALKING GROUP: Anyone can suggest a walk at any time. Simply post the route, the date, and say if it’ll be a gentle walk, a medium level stroll, or a faster paced stride aimed at clocking up steps and maintaining a pace. Separately, group Dog walks can also be organised from this a friendly FB page
TEA, CAKE & CULTURE: Sounds highbrow but actually these are days out at lovely places and a chance to eat scones and debate cream first then jam or jam first then cream! What’s not to love! Get on the WhatsApp chat to connect and join in.
ART & CRAFT: Get on our WhatsApp group, where anyone can post when they feel like organising a crafty get-together – whether that’s knitting, card-making, pottery, or anything else creative that inspires you. We keep it spontaneous and stress-free. If you spot a local workshop or feel like hosting something at home, just pop it in the group!
GAMES & QUIZ: Does the family moan when you want to get out the board games at Christmas OR are you a bit of a secret clever clogs and would jump at a pub quiz? Well I’ve got some very cool news – our choir has a Games & Quiz Club! Contact Emma on WHATSAPP to be added.

THE SOCIAL COLLECTIVE - Lots of theatre nights & cinema screenings on offer to all singers, family and friends.
THE SOCIAL COLLECTIVE - Once in a while there will be a getaway, short stay or trip abroad suggested for you and family and friends!

These clubs are a wonderful way to bring choir members together in a social setting to make friends outside of their usual choir location and section.
If you’ve always fancied an outlet for an activity or group event but not found it on offer in the area then you might just find other likeminded people in the choir who would love it too!
