NOTE - Parking on Well lane and in the slip road where the Studio is located.

Rehearsal: Sunday 1st Dec @ 7.30 - 9.30pm
Rehearsal: Tues 3rd Dec @ 8 - 9pm - tbc (maldon choir venue) - if required - UPDATED from the 5th to the 3rd as the 5th now clashes with new date to sing at Racecourse.

CHOIRS AT THE TOWER: Sunday 8th Dec - ALL DAY

(coach departs 8am approx and picks up in Tiptree, Maldon, Danbury, Sandon & Ingatestone)

UMBRELLA -

You’ll be singing this uptempo fabulous jazz version in our concert. This number will feature our guest professional TAP dancer.

There are no parts to sing on this one. You will all be singing the main song together so need to be tight and learn all the words.

6 x of you will be asked to serve as a supporting role and be involved in simple UMBRELLA choreography. Our TSC umbrellas are black and gold and when opened they have musical notes inside which will look great on stage.

A further 3 x of you will be asked to feature up front with 2 of you using cane umbrella as part of a co-ordinated umbrella ‘dance’.

SANTA TELL ME -

A great American pop Festive song from Ariana Grande. This one splits some Alto’s off to sing Contralto with the boys and at the very end there is a last verse in a Bass part if any of the TBB’s can take that lower line that would be great. Soprano are split into S1 & S2 but Mezzo are one part.

TOWER DRESS CODE

Dress code for this project is strict BUT it is because we want to look utterly FABULOUS and the only way to do this is to coordinate cleverly and put in the effort.

Those of you who’ve attended before attended will recall how we were stopped on the Wharf to ask if we were in a film so we knew we looked good and strutted into the tower a little bit taller! And now we've been made the main featured choir on the HERITAGE PALACES event page on the website for the 2nd year running which further proves how we stood out.

Our 2022 'look' was brilliant with Black and Fur but in 2023 we upped our game with co-ordinated yet individual stye pieces that we had made for us in tartan. I’ve got these to hand out amongst you again

THE BASE

BLACK COAT - Must be a wool black coat 3/4 length or full length
BLACK SKIRT & TIGHTS or BLACK TROUSER AND TOP OR if you can but find anything in this same tartan (skirt, tights, shoes etc) then go for it
BLACK SHOES OR BOOTS

THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE TO THE ABOVE WILL BE IF YOU PURCHASE A CLOTHING ITEM IN "Stewart Dress" Tartan i.e skirt, waistcoat, tights, boots

Everyone will look individual... for example one person with tartan belt and fur cuffs, another with beret hat with tartan trim and sash, another with fur boot cuffs, tartan rosette and tartan necklace etc etc

UMBRELLA -

I have purchased 6 x black umbrellas with music notes on the underside - shown top right of the DRESS CODE ATTACHMENT as "TSC Choir Umbrellas" to share round BUT if any of you want to buy one yourself one then I've included the link on the PRODUCT PDF and below. Obviously hoping it won't rain but it will be good to be prepared! And it'll look awesome!

I have to say it would be fabulous to have more but do note you need to allow time to be delivered.

White "Stewart Dress" Tartan & White fur accessories - NAME OF THE TARTAN IS DRESS STEWART

I've have tartan items specially made which I will distribute for Tower Day HOWEVER there won't be enough for everyone.

These looked wonderful and we are going to keep them as part of our outfit.

EXISTING WHITE BERET HAT OWNERS

I will be asking some of you who already own a hat to take a stock item we had made specially to 'enhance' your beret with a tartan trim and Christmas holly berry hat pin. All different. All can easily be removed after.

WHITE FUR ACCESSORIES -

The idea is to mix and match with the tartan.

The key thing is how it all looks spread across the group so I will decide per person how it looks best with the coat you're wearing etc and what to give to you that I've had made to hopefully top it off! My suggestion would be if you need to get some white fur for our main choir look then do so but please allow for the fact I might suggest you don't wear it to the Tower if you look better with other accessories.

WHITE FUR HEADBANDS -

No Fur headbands for the Tower - these are a great buy for our normal TSC winter look but it's white berets or nothing for the Tower.
